College of Arts and Sciences Extension Programs

These aim to increase the security of livelihood, alleviate poverty, reduce illiteracy, improve health and nutrition, and create a system of governance that promotes, supports, and sustains human development and protecting and preserving the environment. The project leader of Arts and Sciences closely coordinates with the Office of Extension Services of the college for these projects.

The College of Arts and Sciences is developing a college-wide program that will conduct extension services consisting of related activities involving academic departments and units.  Each academic department, however, also conceptualizes its own program that makes use of its expertise in extending various extension services to the adopted community. It provides individuals with opportunities to practice learning on the ground and exposing them to holistic approaches to community service, and developing a more focused community extension work with truly quantifiable impact and establishing linkages with other academic institutions, business and industry sectors, local government units, non-governmental organizations, and professional organizations.
